This museum was once the city hall building, which lost its roof in a fire in 1556, when the city hall tower was reconstructed in the Baroque style. In 1829, the tower was bombed and was supposed to be demolished but was reconstructed, and in 1831-1837 it was rebuilt in the Empire style. And the Old Town Hall ceased to serve its purpose after more than 400 years. After that, it was opened as an exhibition to display the rest of it and the pieces inside it to the public, with a detailed historical explanation of the history of this ancient building.
