The Old Town of Plovdiv is the most important and famous tourist attraction in the city, because its historical buildings have been wonderfully preserved through the centuries. There are paved alleys, houses with hanging wooden balconies, wonderful old churches, and others in the town. In the town there are many shops selling beautiful traditional goods, and several restaurants serving the most delicious Bulgarian dishes.
