It is considered the most important square in the historical city of Prague, as it was founded in the twelfth century AD, and it witnessed many historical events. There are many wonderful monuments in the square, including the Old Town Hall, the Church of Our Lady, the monument to Jan Hus, and memorial stones referring to the execution of 27 Czech emperors in 1621 AD, and the Baroque church of great beauty dominates the square.
