A wonderful area of old Dhofari style houses, most of which are simple one- or two-storey squares painted in pale orange and white, simple designs with closed wooden windows, and a large trio of large three-storey buildings (one destroyed) Next to the main road, with small towers and opposing roofs like mini forts, very similar to the local architecture of Yemen.
