The city of Fogga was distinguished throughout history by its industry and commercial importance, as it was the first exporter of many crops, and accordingly many mills were established that made it easier for citizens to work. It is known that there were 24 windmills in the city at the beginning of the twentieth century, and there were also windmills At Cape Fener, during the repair work of mills, it was observed that the conical surfaces of the mills were covered with sheets of lead. Today, three windmills stand on the city hill, where the ruins of the ancient theater are located, and were used by the Greeks and Turks in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
