The Nine-Hole Bridge in Hortopaje National Park is a distinctive symbol of the park and its surroundings. Built in the classical style between 1827 and 1833, this stone arch bridge was the longest of its kind in Hungary. The 9-arch bridge is about 168 meters long. Noting that each end of the bridge is wider than the center so that it is easier for the herders to direct their animals to the bridge to allow them to cross safely.
