Nikiševice represents a large part of Poland's national history and heritage, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Katowice, located just a short distance from the city centre. Built in the early twentieth century, this grandiose red brick building is a thousand apartments designed to house the city's miners. It consists of several buildings connected to each other by large arcades, and is surrounded by many of the city's facilities and services.
