Information about National Museum of the Middle Ages
This museum was opened in 1967 AD in the Palazzo delle Senzi in Europe, with the aim of providing Rome with an archaeological museum of the post-classical era, and encouraging research in a strategic period to study the transformation of the ancient world. The National Museum of the Middle Ages displays materials dating back to the 14th century AD, mostly from Rome and central Italy. Among the collections displayed in this museum is the "Coptic" collection consisting of engravings and fabrics that provide an important example of the artistic production of Egypt in the ancient and early Middle Ages (5th to 10th centuries AD).
