The National Museum of Ethnography was established in 1888 in Warsaw. The museum specializes in the ethnographic history of Poland and a group of countries and continents, including Europe, Africa, Australia, Oceania, Latin and South America. It contains collections documenting folk arts, fashion and handicrafts, in addition to sculptures and paintings that express the culture of these countries and continents. In the museum, there is a permanent exhibition specialized in displaying Polish folk costumes.
