The National Cinema of Mexico, which opened in 1974, is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Mexico City, and was established with the aim of preserving the history of Mexican film and promoting cinematography in the country. Its building is an architectural masterpiece in its entirety, and it also includes a museum containing 330,000 artifacts related to cinematic history, in addition to many shops.
