The National Center for Contemporary Arts is the first and largest state institution of the Republic of Belarus focusing its activities exclusively on the art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Since its establishment, the National Center has deepened and expanded its activities, achieved a high level of artistic professional recognition and gained the attention of many art centers around the world. Today the National Center is an advanced institution that plays an important role in the art space of the Republic. The permanent collection of exhibits reflects the main stages in the formation and development of contemporary Belarusian art in the last decade of the twentieth century. The museum owns a unique collection of works by famous representatives of the Belarusian vanguard from 1980 to 1990.
