The National Astronomical Observatory and Planetarium was established in 1984 for educational, observational and cultural purposes, and its main purpose is to disseminate knowledge and disseminate the latest developments in the educational field "Nature and Environmental Sciences" and astronomy. The observatory includes an American telescope installed in a pavilion that includes a number of smaller telescopes, and when the weather is good, observing events are organized for the sun, moon, planets, stars and constellations, and in the planetarium, which contains 50 seats, the movement of stars and planets is displayed on a dome-shaped screen with a diameter 8 meters, in addition to many galleries where photos, drawings and maps are displayed.
