Salalah is home to many tombs and shrines that are of great importance in the Islamic religion, among them the tomb of Prophet Hood, peace be upon him, which houses the tomb of Prophet Hod, a revered Islamic figure who was sent to the ancient city of Aad and mentioned seven times in the Holy Qur’an. The length of the shrine is 3 meters Its height is 1.5 meters. The shrine is located in the Dhofar Mountains, between hills and valleys, and three water springs known as Hariya, Afifa and Etham. These three springs flow through a valley adjacent to the tomb.
