The Cossack Museum is located in the Slavic Quarter of Krasnodar and was opened in 2008. The museum contains a collection of exhibits that reflect the origins of the Kuban Cossacks, including documents, photographs, books, manuscripts, and ancient maps of the Krasnodar region and the Kuban region. The museum also has an art gallery in which church paintings from the early twentieth century are displayed, as well as paintings by contemporary artists about the Kuban Cossacks.
