The Museum of Ethnography is dedicated to the regional ethnology of southeastern Romania, showing its valuable heritage, the civilization of the rural community of ethnographic regions. Through the activity of the Ethnography Department (established in 1967) within the city's Provincial Museum, a museum formed in 1950. Heritage is displayed in the museum and illustrates the way of life of urban dwellers between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries.
