Information about Musical Clock
Designed by watchmaker Ferenc Csúry, the tunes of this one-of-a-kind piece of art were first heard at the Open Air Festival in 1936, and the musical clock on the top floor of the building opposite the main entrance to the Szeged votive church is a symbol of the universities of the time. The Middle Ages, showing a model of graduate students at the end of their school year twice a day, and it was József Kulai who carved their figures on wood, and the scene accompanies the melody of the well-known Hungarian student song “Old Student Says Goodbye.”
