The Belarusian Museum of Nature and Ecology was established in 1983, as a natural branch of the State Museum of Belarus. Its main purpose was to popularize both scientific and environmental knowledge, as well as educate the younger generation to take good care of the natural environment. The museum contains animals and birds of unusual species such as the roller, European bee-eater, fisherman and even bison. School trips to this museum are regularly organized.
