This museum is not an ordinary natural history museum, its exhibits are limited to animals and natural history of Bulgaria only, not world natural history. But it holds many temporary exhibitions that change throughout the year in which some of the world's natural phenomena are explained and some pieces from other countries are displayed. The fixed exhibits in the museum include a lot of stuffed animals, including bears, deer, snakes and birds of different types. In the museum there are many fossils, and many types of rare plants.
