The Derby Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art was established in 2018 to present a new corner of Derby: a cultural angle rather than a tourist one. Located in the "Wheat Hall", a major heritage listed building in the Wallonia region, in the heart of the old part of Derby, this museum houses works by Belgian artist Marcel Lucas' 80 paintings as well as temporary exhibitions promoting Belgian artists.
