The collections of the Museum of Fine Arts were assembled in 1794, and grew during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries to highlight the bequests of Henry Vasnier. The museum currently offers a historical overview of the masterpieces illustrating the great artistic movements of the 16th and 20th centuries, with paintings, sculptures, furniture and art pieces. On the first floor, classical and baroque paintings from the seventeenth century are displayed, along with landscapes from the nineteenth century, and on the ground floor are old rooms dedicated to the decorative arts.
