The Museum of African American History, New England's largest museum dedicated to the preservation, preservation, and interpretation of the contributions of African Americans, is located downtown and features an array of exhibits, programs, and educational activities on the powerful stories of black families who suffered, educated their children, debated issues of the day, organized politically, and championed the cause of freedom.
