This Alija Izetbegovic Museum was opened on the 19th of October 2007. It is located in one of the towers of the old citadel of the city, and was established as a tribute to the works of the Bosnian historical figure "Ali Izetbegovic" who devoted his life to the struggle for the good of the country. Inside this museum, you can find a valuable collection of the belongings of former President Alija Izetbegovic, including a gift given to him by the late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, and many exhibits distinguished with its history and stories.
