This Military Historical Museum of the Canary Islands is housed in a building known since antiquity as Huerta de los that reflects the military history of the islands, which was strategically located between the mouth of the valley and the sea, and which was built in the aftermath of a failed attack on the British fleet in 1797, led by Admiral Nelson ( Nelson), to counter the lack of city defense from the northern and western sea and land parts. The museum was opened to the public in 1988. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum developed with the intense activity carried out by the prestigious institutions, such as the cultural bodies of the government, councils, municipalities, universities and schools.
