The Museum of Fine Arts has 14 exhibition rooms, housing works from the 16th to the 20th century. The building has a classic design and was built at the beginning of 1929 by the architect Eladio Laredo. The exterior of the building is decorated with ten busts of prominent figures from Tenerife, most notably: Teobaldo Bor (musician and composer), Angel Guimera (poet and playwright). Among the most prominent works that can be found in this museum are "Tryptic of Nava et Germion" by the painter Peter Cooke; "San Andres" directed by Jose de Rivera and many others. Among the many activities that take place there are guided tours of both the museum and the city's heritage, book presentations, lectures, and concerts.
