The museum is one of the few examples in Madrid whose halls show the original decorative atmosphere of aristocratic residence from the late nineteenth century, having been preserved and displayed since the first decade of the twenty-first century. Its historical and archaeological significance has been recognized with the European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage Medal. The museum also offers a wide program of cultural activities as a new window that seeks to introduce groups to the rich cultural heritage.
