The monument was opened in the city of Elbasan in 1962, in order to commemorate the memory of Kostandin Christovoridhi, one of the heroes of the demand for knowledge, freedom and national independence, and most importantly his demand to use the Albanian language in the Ottoman period, and the statue is placed on a cube of white marble, with an introductory plate Kostandin is sitting with a book in his hands, looking into the horizon for Albania's coming future.
