The Mondego Green Park is located on the right bank of the Mondego River in Coimbra. It covers an area of about 400,000 square metres, and includes a large outdoor cafe area built on a wooden platform above the river. It also contains four kilometers of pedestrian and bike paths, in addition to many restaurants, a playground and spaces Temporary display and Portugal Central Pavilion designed by Souto Moura and Álvaro Siza Vieira.
