The Mokiupapa Discovery Center allows visitors to learn about the natural sciences, culture, and history of the Hawaiian Islands and the surrounding marine environment. The facility aims to increase public awareness of ocean and region conservation issues. The exhibition includes a 30,000-gallon saltwater aquarium, interactive educational exhibits, models of island wildlife, artwork inspired by the islands and Hawaiian culture, and numerous interpretive paintings.
