The Schina Mausoleum is one of the most successful examples of neo-Gothic sacred architecture, and thanks to its exposed position on the church hill in Schina, it has managed to be one of South Tyrol's cultural highlights. The sacred building was built between 1860 and 1869 as a tomb for the family of Archduke John of Austria, and is made of sandstone and granite.
