The Mattupetty Dam was built between two mountains in Idukki with the purpose of storing water for hydroelectric power, and locals come to visit it to enjoy the majestic views of the vast greenery and the Himalayas. In the waters of the dam, you can do many activities such as fishing and enjoying kayaking, in addition to cycling and going on long and short paths.
