The House of Matthias Corvinus is one of the oldest buildings in Cluj-Napoca, built in the 15th century in the famous Gothic style. It was the home of one of the most famous kings of Hungary in 1443. This house has undergone many transformations during its history. It served as a prison and hospital and then turned into a museum. The house has been owned by the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca since 1950. It is now home to the Institute of Visual Arts The most famous in the city, it includes many ancient paintings, statues and sculptures.
