Al-Zawawi Mosque is located in the Omani capital, Muscat, and was built by Omar Al-Zawawi; A member of the Al-Zawawi family, to commemorate the death of his father, Abdel Moneim Al-Zawawi, and it was opened in 1985. This mosque is considered an oasis of golden elegance in the Ministries Quarter in Al Khuwair. It is worth noting that what distinguishes it most is that the entire Qur’an is engraved on metal panels on its walls. There was also an older mosque with that name, built in 1906 and destroyed in 2005.
