The Maltese Church is a Viennese Gothic Catholic church, built in the mid-15th century AD, and in the 17th century it was the preferred preaching site of the famous Augustinian monk Abraham a Sancta Clara. This building was restored to suit contemporary taste in the Baroque era in 1806. The church is distinguished by its stained glass that was added during the nineteenth century, in addition to the presence of the imperial pulpit that was built during the reconstruction and is decorated with a Maltese cross.
