The museum offers visitors pieces dating back to Libeco-Bonic and Roman African antiquity, while a part of the floor is dedicated to the legacy of the Byzantine and Islamic periods, and Greek civilization is represented by two partially eroded marble columns, and the museum also displays a large collection of crafts from the city and its surroundings that dates back to Some of them belong to the Fatimid dynasty that founded the city in the tenth century, such as carved and painted woodwork, mosaics, ornate plaster, ceramics, pottery and others. Two rooms were also allocated; One for weaving and the other for the luxurious traditional costumes of the Mahdia region. The “Treasures and Jewelery” room displays gold coins and traditional ornaments worn by the women of the region.
