Mae Sa Waterfall is a gorgeous eight-tiered waterfall with a small plunge pool to swim in, which is popular with Thai and foreign tourists, and can get especially crowded on weekends with families. It is a good idea to go for a picnic, pack a blanket and spend the whole day at the waterfall. There is a large car park with lots of street vendors selling grilled meat, sticky rice, fruit, bottled drinks and ice cream. Mae Sa waterfall covers a large area and if you go up to the fifth or sixth level there are less people. At the top of the waterfall, hardly anyone gets there, it's a nice place to get away from the crowds.
