Luhmenmazu Temple is the center of faith in Tainan, and it is one of the largest and oldest orthodox temples of the city. Every tourist is fascinated by the large and magnificent building whose design is based on the Forbidden City in Beijing, and is known as the largest temple in the Far East. A huge public celestial statue stands on both sides of the temple court, which lends an air of power, might and prestige to the place.
