The pools of Lourdes are one of the important stations for pilgrims in the city of Lourdes. Every year about 350,000 people pass through this place and immerse themselves in water at about 12 degrees Celsius, because of their belief in the healing power of the water of the pools, as it is linked to a religious tale indicating that the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous guided her to these ponds and advised her to bathe in their water and build a temple beside them.
