Lorvaux Monastery is located in Lorvaux, near Coimbra, and is considered one of the oldest monasteries in Europe. According to many theories, its foundation dates back to the sixth century, and others say that it was founded after the Christian conquest in 878. An interesting museum with an important collection of paintings, ceramics, furniture and textiles from the 17th and 18th centuries.
