The Mahdia Lighthouse, also known as the Lighthouse of the Cape of Africa, is a fourth-degree lighthouse located in the Cape of Africa in the city of Mahdia. It was established on August 15, 1890. It consists of a hexagonal tower with a gallery and a lantern. It is fifteen meters high The entire signal station is painted white except for the top of the tower. The Mahdia lighthouse is erected over the naval cemetery, its lamp emits a red glow every five seconds at a focal height of 26 meters and can be seen up to 31 kilometres.
