Lydenica Cave is located on the territory of the Vracánsky Balkan Nature Park, 16 km from the town of Vratsa and at an altitude of 830 m above sea level in the northwestern Strychersky sector of Mount Vratsa. It was opened to visitors in 1961, and in 2005 its infrastructure was completely renovated, Today, about 53 species live inside the cave, including a light-hating insect that has adapted so well to darkness that it dies if exposed to light. Lydenica Cave includes many stalagmites and columns formed during the winter, and there is an interesting shallow lake inside.
