One of the most beautiful castles in Merano is Liebenberg Castle, a historical castle built in the 13th century, by the lords of Marling, a very spacious castle complex that includes a chapel in a late Gothic castle with valuable frescoes some from the 14th century with Picturesque courtyards, the French ornamental garden, the Rococo Hall of Mirrors, and the Knights' Hall.
