The Dungeon Museum is located in a former cell in which St. Bernadette Soubirous and her poor family were forced to live in 1857; She is one of the most prominent figures in Lourdes' religious history, as she is said to have witnessed the Virgin Mary's apparitions 18 times, and you can take a guided tour around the museum to get a glimpse of the dire conditions in which the saint and her family lived.
