A stunning historic cathedral founded in Lausanne in the year 1170, it was commissioned by Pope Rigory X and Rudolf of Habsburg and Bishop of Lausanne at the time. The church was built in the Gothic style, but the Protestant Reformation in 1536 greatly affected the design of the church, as it became more simple and beautiful decorations were added to the dome. There is also a unique musical organ in the cathedral, which took more than ten years to design.
