Information about Kranj tunnels
These secret tunnels were built under Crane during World War II, and were used as shelters for the city’s residents, and extend in the conglomerate rocks across 1,300 meters, and the climate in them is similar to natural caves, so there are some deposits and rare animals such as cave crickets, and inside the tunnel there is an exhibition on the history of the Crane tunnels. The people who built it are Josep Slavec and Josep Dedek, and there is also an exhibition of minerals and fossils, as well as a simulation of a shell hitting tunnels during World War II.
