Information about Konak Mosque
Konak Mosque or as it is called, Yali Mosque, is one of the most elegant mosques in Izmir, which attracted attention with its tiles and octagonal plan in Konak Square. It was built in 1755 by Aisha Hanim, daughter of Mohammed Pasha, It was restored during the First World War, and then again in 1964 AD, leaving only the tiles on the sides of the door and window. It is a pleasant building with one dome and one minaret in the style of classical Ottoman architecture. The cut stone has been used in the architecture of the octagonal plan mosque.
