Information about Kizlaragasi Han Bazaar
Built in the 18th century as a roadside inn where travelers could rest and relax from a long journey, this typical Ottoman building in the Kemeralti district is a square-shaped, two-storey building, with a large courtyard that had a small pool in the middle. But it does not exist today. As for the upper floor, it contained sleeping rooms for merchants after leaving camels and items in the basement in the courtyard. Around the square there is a market, which is one of the most important and most visited markets in Izmir, where various goods are sold, including women’s handicrafts, cheese, fruits and vegetables. oils, and more.
