Information about Hisar Mosque
This mosque is one of the oldest monuments in the city, which was built at the end of the sixteenth century, specifically between 1592-1598, and contains a central dome supported by eight columns and small domes around it, and is surrounded by an open courtyard with open air, and there are also two small fountains used for ablution before Prayer, and contains one minaret with one balcony as well. The mosque was renovated several times during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and thus the influence of European decorative elements can be seen, especially on the capitals of the columns, window frames, external walls and on the mihrab as well.
