Information about King Abdullah Mosque
This mosque was built in 1989 AD by the late King Hussein to commemorate the memory of his grandfather. It is a building with a striking architectural design, topped by a wonderful blue mosaic dome decorated with Quranic inscriptions and exceptional Arabic manuscripts. Its diameter is about thirty-five meters and covers the octagonal cave prayer hall. The mosque can accommodate what Up to 7,000 worshippers, with another 3,000 in the courtyard, there is also a small women's section that accommodates 500 worshipers and a much smaller royal enclosure, it is worth noting that this is the only mosque in Amman that openly receives non-Muslim visitors.
