Information about Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts
The Jordanian National Gallery of Fine Arts was established in Jabal Al-Weibdeh in Amman by the Royal Society of Fine Arts, and a special pavilion for temporary exhibitions was opened in 1984. The main objectives of the exhibition are to sponsor contemporary art in Jordan and the Arab countries and to exchange experiences between the gallery and other museums and cultural organizations outside Jordan, in addition to organizing seminars, conferences and symposia related to art and culture inside and outside Jordan. The exhibition includes a collection of exhibits, numbering about 2000 pieces of art, consisting of the works of 520 artists from 43 Arab and Islamic countries, many of which have been displayed for temporary periods in various parts of the world.
