Information about Kantara bridge
The Quneitra Bridge is a historical bridge that crosses the Harod River in the Baysan Valley. The history of the bridge dates back to the Mamluk period, who settled in the area in the year 1260 AD, and the bridge was built with the aim of helping the residents transfer water from the Harod River to the farms north of the river. The bridge stands on three magnificent arches of stone. During the period of British colonialism in Palestine, the British renovated the bridge and reconstructed one of the arches that had been destroyed over time. Now, visitors come to the area to enjoy the picturesque nature surrounding the bridge. The area can relax, picnic, and go on many trails.
